Lust Is the Opposite of Intense Sex Drive
Lust, gluttony, addiction—they are all the same. Know the root to uproot them together.
This is the way of an adulterous woman:
She eats and wipes her mouth,
And says, “I have done no wrong.”
Proverbs 30:20
Why do we struggle with lust, gluttony, and addiction?
Porn addicts aren’t good in bed.
Whoremongers don’t perform well in sex hormone tests.
Food addicts aren’t superior on this list; they just lust after food.
Substance addicts—whether it's weed, alcohol, drugs, or any type of smoking—are not more “sinful”, just less “moral.”
Lust, gluttony, and addiction—all of these grow from the same root.
All of these are LUST in essence—and lust, in essence, is craving.
Craving, in essence, is lacking. “And whosoever has not, to him shall be taken away, even that he has.”
All involve the mouth, a part of our bodies where a majority of sins are committed—in or out.
All of these derive from self-hatred.
All of these aim for distractions—to avoid confronting who and where you truly are in life.
“Where are you?”—God
All of these are poisons drunk by those who thirst for joy, life, purpose, and fulfillment.
“Who told you that you are naked?”—God
Our desires are fostered, instilled, and bent by the enemy. Our desires are NOT necessarily ours.
Pouting, half-naked women are hot. Narcissistic, elusive, double-minded men are hot.
Hell is hot. Go ahead.

✝️How to be dead to your sins

🪽Hotties of heaven
Deep inside, created in the image of God, despite our sinful nature, what truly attracts us are such people—
They overflow with life. They glow with joy. They radiate with kindness. They walk into a room like the sun in winter.
They are the LIGHT, the SALT, and indeed a city built on the hill that CANNOT be HIDDEN.
They look at you and listen as if you matter—not because they’ve picked up some manipulative strategies, but because they are HUMBLE enough not to think about themselves all the time.
They believe in you but don’t sugarcoat things. They have unquenchable, infectious HOPE.
They are trees that grow UPRIGHT towards the sun and deepen their ROOT in the soil. Yet, because they are so FREE—without grudges or obsessions—sometimes you wonder if they have any roots at all.
Freedom is the opposite of being rootless.
Just thinking of them elevates you to a higher frequency. A person who overflows with life is unforgettable.
Technically speaking, whatever is “hot” is unforgettable.
But only the unforgettable and uplifting people have true life, which is the rarest thing in this fallen world.
You can only fake “hotness” and popularity for so long without true vitality and exuberant life.
Your lust is eating you away, whether it is for sex, food, or substances.
Your dead spirit cannot fool those who have discernment. Your lack of character will bear bad fruits. Your folly will be obvious to all—for “Nothing that is hidden will not be exposed.”
“But impostors and evil-doers will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.”
Impostor Syndrome is real—but chances are, the reason you always feel like an impostor is that you are an impostor—if you have not been born again in the Spirit.
Many influencers talk about “reinventing yourself.”
If you could reinvent yourself, you would be making Jesus, His death, and resurrection a complete joke.
I will discourage you right now—
You will NEVER be freed from lust, gluttony, and addiction without the power of God. “Whom the Son sets free is free indeed”—there is no other way than Jesus.
Yes, by “freed,” I mean not even having a desire for it.
Just like if you never took heroin, you’d never crave heroin. If you’re raised Chinese, you don’t crave pop.
That’s how radically God can sanctify us—as if it never existed to you, as if you have never sinned.
Do not settle for anything less.
Desire 100% freedom. 100% purity. 100% holiness. 100% surrender. 100% obedience. 100% commitment. 100% loyalty. 100% truth. 100% life.
All the time, all the way.
Stop half-assing your faith as you do life.
So, how do you uproot lust—for sex, food, or substances? First, know the root cause.
The root of lust
The root is not living in your destiny.
The root is not knowing—or even worse, knowing but not living—your purpose.
The root is fruitlessness.
The root is self-hatred.
The root is boredom and idleness, which trigger sins.
The root is a sick heart harboring sins and a carnal mind plotting their execution.
The root is having no true life—so you pick up passion, impulsiveness, and recklessness to appear alive and to feel alive.
The root is unrepentance—always convicted but never making the decision to change.
The root is double-mindedness—and the root of double-mindedness is a sick heart.
“Purify your heart, you double-minded.” James 4:8
The root is indecisiveness—up to this day, you’re still Peter Pan in Neverland, afraid to commit to anything for life.
Don’t focus on your lust; focus on Jesus—because lust will never be conquered until you are dead to your sins and born again in the Spirit.
How to be dead to your sins?
Crucify your flesh. Deny yourself. Pick up your cross and follow Jesus each day, over and over again.
Slipped? Stand up. Messed up? Try again. The only way to fail is to quit.
How did I crucify myself?
I fasted.
I fasted my gluttony out, my lust out, my anxiety out, my carnality out, my selfish ambitions out, my worries out, my pride out, my fear out—
I fast from food and feed on the Word of God. That’s it. Christianity made simple.
I make no big decision without fasting.
I fast until I have an answer.
Even the thought of fasting brings me peace and relief. God has proven to me over and over again that, as long as I fast, I’m rewarded.
You’re missing out on the best of God if you dread fasting.
I’m not saying you fast once and are free forever—the goal is to live the lifestyle. Just like eating one meal of healthy food will not make you healthy, you must maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Once you’re good at this, you will have the Almighty’s power over your life—I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
No self-control, no freedom.
“…promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved.” 2 Peter 2:19
After you’re delivered, fill your heart with Jesus and follow Him each day; don’t leave it empty—otherwise, your old demons will return, and you’ll end up worse.
“Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came’; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.” Matthew 12:44-45
Matthew 13:12—“One verse rules them all”
To be freed from gluttony, fast.
To be freed from lust, fast.
To be freed from money, fast.
You will eat better food, have better sex, and have more money—
Fasting, giving, and resisting, is a signal of “having”—and “whosoever has, to him more shall be given, and he shall have abundance.”
The more you crave, the more you prove that you “have not”—and “whosoever has not, to him shall be taken away, even that he has.”

People live a promiscuous life out of insecurity, feeding on the illusion of being loved and wanted. Promiscuity works against their intentions: the more they crave, the less they have, and eventually, even what they have will be taken away. They end up feeling more unloved, undesirable, and insecure.
For women, this consequence is direct; for men, it takes a detour to manifest—promiscuous men ruin their potential and destinies through lust over time. This is why it’s harder for men to conquer lust—the consequence is insidious and chronic, cooking them slowly.
Satan didn’t get to Adam directly; he got to him through Eve. Eve ate the fruit first, but their eyes didn’t open until Adam ate the fruit.

Men are Satan's true target—and since the beginning of creation, he has prevailed in his evil against men through women, by lust.
Men are becoming effeminate, and masculinity is under attack—this is by no means a new trend. Satan has been brewing this plan since Eden.
Lust will lead to your effemination—not your empowerment. You are a fool for bragging about your "body count."
Faith invites miracles
Don’t believe in fasting? Try it before you judge it.
I’ve told many people how to cure acne once and for all—they don’t believe it’s possible, so they still have acne—no longer teens but dealing with teenage problems. Meanwhile, those who have tried it have been cured.
It’s the same with deliverance—only the desperate will be delivered.
This is how I see it: if nothing I’ve done has worked for me so far, I’d try what others recommend despite my doubts.
If you don’t believe in being healed and delivered completely, you won’t be.
“It shall be done to you according to your faith.” Matthew 9:29
Your faith invites miracles.
It’s convenient to doubt. It takes absolutely nothing to doubt.
But, it takes effort and courage to believe—in anything.
Soul-smashingly blunt. From your fingers to many eyes hopes I, a sinner.
Thanks Alice for sharing your thoughts and experience with fasting. Quite inspiring. Your words fell right into place for me. By the way, for what it is worth, I have noticed in my own observations, that - prior to lust is wanting. And prior to wanting is desire. And prior to desire is intention. And prior to intention is motive. And prior to motive is Conscious Presence. And that means the end is very near for any robotic, reactive behaviour.
