Amazing...praise God. It is so comforting to know we don't have to be perfect but rather we can learn how to take perfect rest in God..."for he knows how weak we are, he knows we are only dust". "His loving-kindness endureth forever!"
God spoken “You don’t need to be perfect; you just need to finish it.” —it’s an encouragement that quiets the pressure to perform and refocuses on obedience and endurance. This reminds me a verse in The Beatitudes — “So then, be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” — Matthew 5:48 NET). God isn’t asking for perfectionism; He’s calling us toward wholeheartedness.
Wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing this hard won truth with us. Just before opening your email, I was telling a friend about surrendering to God because I could not finish my book! His timing is always perfect.
He nudged me to read this. I know He did. I'm currently on a fast, and it's imperfect like that too. But He helps me nonetheless. And that book example? I continued with my book earlier today, after leaving it for a while.
I praise God for using your "failure" to bring forth wisdom for all of us out here. We will always remember not to strive to seek Him perfectly, but to seek Him *regardless*. That lesson is now burned into our spirits. Sure we already knew it intellectually, but the vividness of your specific experience has nailed it down hard.
Perfection is a process, and you dove headlong into that process and remain there. Now God is using your continuing fast for far more benefit than you could have imagined at the outset.
This is a good line. If we know that God is synonymous with perfection, and He is, and we know that perfection necessitates a complete wholeness of being, wanting for nothing that is not in it for it must encompass everything that constitutes perfection, and nothing that is imperfect lest it should invalidate perfection, then we must acknowledge that we are not perfect, for we are not God.
But these flaws make us able to be creative, for we are able to consider what it would be like other wise; we are able to consider what it would be like to see them in others and in nature and in everything. If we were perfect, there would be no creativity, only creation.
Thank you Alice. This blesses me deeply. I am thankful for you faithfulness and labor...and that you are one that loves His appearing. Jesus said, you will bear fruit, fruit that remains. This is that kind of fruit.
I have no word to express how much this mean to me. I'll keep crawling to Him
Crawling to Him is so much more honorable than falling with styles.

Praise God! This conversation is truly one of the best I've had with God. And certainly many brothers and sisters need the Word today as well.
Thank you so much for sharing 🥹🙏🏻

"Imperfection often gives birth to creativity."
This is a good line. You've already done what few Christians will ever do, or even want to do.
