Interesting article.

I'm convinced about your POV, but in the past i had the opposite problem- I basically had an eating disorder and because of that kept fasting at bad times. I've basically only healed by "binging"- eating properly, with medium-large amounts, and making sure never to skip meals. I'm wanting to fast but I don't want to slip back to the sickness I had before.

what a tremendous article that you wrote here and your way of thinking rocks! You definitely need to do the seven day fast as you will hit, even greater breakthroughs, not only in the stronghold department, but in your inner calmness, that will allow you to get even closer to him as you find that the word becomes dynamite, literally exploding as your reading it! 👍

Hey Alice thanks so much for this

Post! I’ve been thinking about fasting for a while and i wonder how often the Bible or Jesus actually talks about or recommend it? Do you have a list of verses that talk about fasting? Thanks again!:)

I’m glad the Lord led you to this post. You raised a question many people might want to know. So Jesus’s Word about fasting: Matthew 6:16-18, Mark 2:19. You can read into these two verses and find that Jesus assume His disciples to fast after He ascended.

In the Book of Acts, the church fasted and the apostles also fasted.

Not fasting is not a sin. But it leads to carnality and spiritual stagnancy.
