The Law of Attraction vs. Biblical Faith
Right formula, wrong ingredients—The Law of Attraction cooks poison according to an elixir's recipe. This article will rip its lie in 9 comparisons with biblical faith.
“Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Matthew 7:7–8
“And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." Jesus revealed the secret 2000 years ago—so yes, The Law of Attraction is true—but being true is not equal to being the truth.

9 Differences between The Law of Attraction and Biblical Faith
9 Differences
👨🏼🍳No.1 The chef
The Law of Attraction asks from the “universe,” a creation.
Biblical faith asks from God in the name of Jesus, the Creator.
🥒No.2 The ingredients
The Law of Attraction starts from a personal, fleshly desire.
Biblical faith starts from a promise from God.
🫧No. 3 The formula
The Law of Attraction asks you to give thanks for things that have not manifested as if they already did. You count on yourself to get this process right.
Biblical faith asks us to give thanks to God for His Promise even though we cannot see it yet. We count on God to make sure it’s done right.
📈No.4 The success rate
The Law of Attraction: random, even if it’s done correctly.
Biblical faith: 100%, if we didn’t mishear the promise.
“In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath.” Hebrews 6:17
🔥No.5 The principle behind its success
The Law of Attraction is the discovery and utilization of a mysterious rule in the “universe.” Though the whole picture remains unknown, through experiences, people discover a certain pattern and utilize this pattern to work for their benefit. The same logic applies also to the occult practices: witchcraft, crystals, tarot cards, astrology, fortune-telling, etc. In essence, all of these are half-truths, and that makes them all lies.
Biblical faith is based upon God’s Nature. We give thanks to God’s promise because when He spoke, it was already done. He is the only One Who actually has the power to speak things into existence. His Word is the truth and life and reality. What we thank Him for is for that future we cannot see but it’s already prepared for us.
🪐No.6 The focus
The Law of Attraction focuses on the thing you desire, and all your “work” is to create an illusion in your real life revolving around that thing as it has already manifested.
Biblical faith focuses on God, specifically, your relationship with God, who is our Father, Savior, Lord, and Creator. Just like you won’t disown your father if he didn’t buy you that cool toy car, whatever you ask God for and the result of it cannot alter your identity in Christ and your relationship with Him.
“May it be done to me according to your word.” Luke 1:38
🌅No.7 The vision
The Law of Attraction, though acknowledging the mystery and power of the “universe,” is all about this life on earth.
Biblical faith is about setting your eyes on things above, not the things on earth, as the world is passing away, so is its lust. It’s almost against the Law of Attraction, which is often practiced out of the lust of this world.
The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:17
🍇No. 8 The fruit
The Law of Attraction can bear any fruit, good or evil. What you ask could be at the cost of someone else, intentionally or unintentionally. What you desire could be destroying you in the long run(for example, you quickly manifested marriage but soon ended up in an ugly divorce; or you manifested a job but the industry soon fell and you wasted all the years building this career). There’s no filtering for the things you asked for. There’s no future guaranteed. It’s all about the present, the urgent, the limited vision of human minds.
Biblical faith, on the contrary, is all about long-term benefits. It takes faith and patience. It aims for legends and legacies. Because we trust in God, we are guaranteed to be given what is best for us, what leads to life and prosperity.
“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:9-11

🍽️No. 9 The eaters
The Law of Attraction increases anxiety and pride in the waiting.
It is self-reliance under the spiritual skin. Because of your diligent work of imagining you’ve already got there, once this wish manifested, you’d be boasting of your work and exalting yourself rather than humbly giving thanks. And if your wish didn’t manifest, you’d either be discouraged or self-condemned. In the long run, it damages your character, wiring your brain in a way that chases after instant gratification, increasing your anxiety as you believe everything is in your control.Biblical faith humbles us in the waiting. And whoever humbles himself shall be exalted. Once the promise is fulfilled, we give praises to God and shout out joy for His glory, for it is the Lord who has done it. If our desire was not fulfilled, we’d also have the peace and hope to wait for something much better. In either scenario, we have joy in God’s presence that is not attached to our circumstances because He alone is enough for us.
“Wait for the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the Lord.”
Psalm 27:14
I have experienced the Law of Attraction and nothing really accomplished much. Not having Faith in the Lord and not being humbly according to His word has almost destroy my life living for worldly things on earth. But I'm glad and very thankful for God saving my life and have mercy and love for me to redeem and repent from the living the Law of Attraction. Love your Article Sister Almer Alice He.
