10 Signs You've Found God's Purpose for Your Life
All 10 signs will meet. This is a vivid illustration of a man living in His purpose: "The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter until the full day."
“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” Proverbs 16:3
No.1 You have the most joy when you bear fruit in this field.
“The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.” Proverbs 10:22
Joy becomes the keynote of your spirit. It’s not attached to any specific event or circumstance. It’s a lightness of heart, in contrast to a spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). It’s rooted in faith, backed up by hope, and nourished by love.
Every time you bear fruit in your purpose, you feel much alive and at peace, with no desire to celebrate through carousing. The fruit brings no sorrow—but a job promotion might.
No.2 Loneliness doesn’t bother you that much.
If you’re desperate for marriage, it’s a clear sign that you haven’t yet found your purpose. Desire is one thing; desperation is another.
Once you find your purpose, you’ll know who to bring with you, and you’ll be assured in your heart that God will make it happen at the appointed time.
You probably won’t have friends at the beginning of your destiny. Instead, you will lose many. You will start in isolation. You will feel lonely sometimes, but most of the time, you have joy.
No.3 You don’t have FOMO (fear of missing out).
When you have a purpose, you have a vision.
When you have a vision, then you have focus.
When you have focus, you live a simple life, saying no to everything derailing.
The reason you’re double-minded and distracted is that God hasn’t given you a vision. Whatever you’re doing, it’s not it.
No.4 You aren’t tired of doing the same thing each day.
A man living in His purpose lives a “boring” life. He’s doing the same thing, repeating the same routine each day (likely) for the rest of his life.
But he loves it. He grows surely and steadily. He will stand before kings. He’s not a boy looking for fun and chances. He has no wandering eyes or slack hands. He works hard with joy.
“Do you see a man skilled in his work?
He will stand before kings;
He will not stand before obscure men.” Proverbs 22:29
No.5 You have peace and a calm, ridiculous confidence.
Jesus Christ defines true confidence—calm, peaceful, authentic. Simply by being Himself and living His purpose, He is the light of the world.
You have no desire to use your purpose to prove anything except the grace of God. Achievements don’t send you to cloud nine, nor can failures beat you up.
You’re doing it simply because that’s who you are, what you were born for, and what God called you to do.
No.6 You grow closer to God.
“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
God’s purpose for your life will not be accomplished by your own power. Each step you must count on Him. And God will direct your steps toward Him, not away from Him.
You can justify in your mind how your pursuit will eventually glorify God, but you know you’re self-deceived if it distracts you from His presence.
No.7 It bears fruit and multiplies—proof that God’s hand is in your work.
When Jesus showed up at the shore, Peter, who fished all night and caught nothing, prospered.
Throughout the Bible, even non-believers recognize God’s presence in a person’s life through his prosperity. If you find it extra hard and fruitless—especially if it’s out of your nature and burdens your soul—it’s not God’s purpose for you. He is edging you out of your comfort zone through failures, frustrations, depression, and oppression.
You must step out in faith and trust that the Lord will reveal His plan for your life. Deliverance is for the desperate. If you aren’t sick of what you’re doing, you will stay in that rut for the rest of your life.

No.8 God will confirm it with supernatural signs (if only you asked) and people will confirm that.
Don’t be afraid to ask for a sign, as long as it’s not to test God. My experience is that—yes, God will answer with signs when you ask in humility and faith.
One of the biggest signs God can give you is through people: they will tell you the exact words you need to hear to know that you’re living in your purpose.
If you got no external validation for a long time (for example, over a year), it’s not your purpose—and I say this with no exception.
No.9 It continues to humble you, despite your success.
Anything that boosts your ego and pride is not God’s purpose for you. Not good enough. Don’t settle there.
His purpose will keep you trembling and rejoicing with the fear of God. You will be “haunted” by this “the law of promotion”:
“Whoever humbles himself shall be exalted; whoever exalts himself shall be humbled.” Matthew 23:12
You will understand that, should God turn His face from you and withdraw His favor, you’re finished. Saul didn’t understand this, but David did—he repented for his sins, beseeching only that the Holy Spirit would not leave him.
No.10 You do it out of love, with all your heart, for the glory of God
“It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.” Proverbs 25:27
I concluded this principle from Scripture, and I believe it’s the recipe for a life of honor and riches.
Whatever you do, do it out of love, with all your heart, and for the glory of God.
When you find your purpose, you will find yourself abiding in His Word. You will find that your prayers are always answered—sometimes so quickly that it scares you, because you are so used to disappointment.
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7
Lastly,
The Bible is real. God means every word He says—precisely, literally, permanently.
There’s no such thing—as long as it’s in the Bible—as “too good to be true.”
Nice read!
